PVP is one of the parts of King of Towers, alongside tower defense
All PVP battles happen on a special screen, where you can see all of your heroes (unlocked or not) alongside their type of Soldiers (Warriors, Archers, Mages, and Cannoners). They will be on a formation that you decide on the Barracks, Fighting Pits, Castle or Prison. They will face either another player's soldiers (with their own formation) or enemies on the Boss Clash mode of Monster's Den
You also use the PVP screen to face the Cyclops King and Poseidon.
