Magic Ward Magicward Essence Harvesting

Magic Ward is one of the game's buildings. It is unlocked at Kingdom Level 3. Here you can upgrade your magic skills.

Skills can help you turn the tide of battle, if used wisely. Upgrading skills will also increase their effectiveness and your Battle Power.

You can upgrade your skills in three ways:

  • Upgrade: Makes your skills stronger. It requires Gold and resources (first Earth Essence, then Air Essence, and later Water Essence, ending with the Pure and Perfect versions of these ones). These are won from world levels and Level Taxes. Plus there is a cooldown between skill upgrades, which means you cannot improve many levels at once. You have to do it little by little.
  • Research: Turns your skills into more powerful versions of themselves. Requires Gold, Dark Soul Crystal and Elemental Contract or Facebook items.
  • Essence Harvesting: Allows you to upgrade skills talents. It requires gold, Elemental Contract and Blue Essences (first need to exchange 10 White Essences into 1 Green Essence, and then 10 Green Essences into 1 Blue Essence). Each magic skill has three talents.

Upgrade[]

Every four individual upgrades the level is increased by 1 and the stats (Attack, Life) increase. However, Battle Power increases with each individual upgrade (three Stars + level up). The BP increase is the same for all four individual upgrades within a level. In the table below the total BP rise for each level is 4x BP/star. The cooldown (CD) period is applies to each star/level up.

The initial Level 1 stats are:

  • Militia: Attack: 38-75, Life: 400, Regen: 2HP/s
    • Royal Guard: Attack 76-101, life 600 (back-calculated from higher level values and constant increases).
    • Immortals: tbd
  • Static: Attack: 3200-4000
    • Lightning Bolt: Attack 4800-6000 (back-calculated from higher level values and constant increases).
    • Lightning Strike: Attack 6400-8000 (back-calculated from higher level values and constant increases).
  • Hail: Attack: 2100-2100
    • Blizzard: Attack 2200-4200 (back-calculated from higher level values and constant increases).
    • Ice Tempest: Attack 4400-8400 (back-calculated from higher level values and constant increases).

With each level up (after four individual upgrades) the stats increase by:

  • Militia: min attack 4.67 rounded down (4, 5, 5, 4, 5, 5 etc.), max attack 9.33 rounded down (9, 9, 10, 9, 9, 10 etc), life 60.
    • Royal Guard: min attack 9.33 rounded down (9, 9, 10, 9, 9, 10 etc), max attack 14.33 rounded down (14, 14, 15, 14, 14, 15 etc), life 80.
    • Immortals: tbd
  • Static: min attack 1200, max attack 1500.
    • Lightning Bolt: min attack 2000, max attack 2500.
    • Lightning Strike: min attack 2800, max attack 3500.
  • Hail: min attack 300 (except to Level 2: 100), max attack 700 (except to Level 2: 300, Level 3: 200, Level 4: 1600).
    • Blizzard: min attack 1200, max attack 1500.
    • Ice Tempest: min attack 1800, max attack 2400.

Immortals (they are not immortals, it's just their name) come with the Pike ability for free, so they can attack enemies from range until the enemy enters their melee aggro radius and can also damage fliers

Appearance: Nearly looks like a Gladiator but with a long sword that shoots arrowheads.

Magic Skill Ice Tempest

Call down an ice tempest on an area dealing damage and slowing all units with a chance to freeze.

Slow target move speed and chance to freeze for 4 seconds (act like burning excluding bosses), Skill CD 50 seconds.

Talents[]

All talents started at level 1. Each talent gives you an effect for a spell. You can see Essence Harvesting option on the top-right and use Gold or Mysterious Mushroom for harvesting essences.

Note: The Battle Power you gain is not displayed in the Fighting Pits comparison, but does count. It's added in the User Info panel under "Magic Power" => "Magic Upgrades"

Talents for one of the spells are unlocked after researching its magic upgrades to the maximum level.

Protection Life +700 Increase the maximum health of your reinforcements. Upgrading it can increase their maximum health.
Containment Last Time +1.0 Increase the amount of time your reinforcements appear. Upgrading it can increase their time.
Static Silent Fear Attack +3000 Increase the Static damage. Upgrading it can increase its damage.
Reduction Probability +1% There is a chance that your Static cools down immediately when you use it. Upgrading it increases the chance of it cooling down immediately.
Death Ray Probability +2% There is a chance that your Static will deal a critical hit. Upgrading will increase that chance.
Hail Hail of Bullets Range +5 Increases the damage area of Hail. Upgrading it will increase its area.
Earth Shatter Last Time +0.1 Increases the amount of time Hail falls. Upgrading it increases the time it falls. (Only works for the first cast)
Flying Attack +1800 Increases Hail damage. Upgrading it will increase its damage.

Note: Keep in mind this is only the cost for one skill. To get all nine skills to this level you'll need nine times the above resources (and a lot of extra gold for Essence Harvesting).

Extra tip: With Militia skill lvl 80+ (or 81) and Total Magic Power 280K+ a player can summon 3 immortals during a battle.
