The Tundra

The Tundra is a frozen region of the world. It's the second area, after Grasslands and before Lava Plains.

You need to be Kingdom Level 10 to fight here.

The second slot of the Supply Station can be unlocked after beating all the basic scenarios on the three difficulty levels. The bonus scenario (Frost Plains) is unlocked the same way, but it also requires 3 stars on every map and difficulty level.

Boss of The Tundra is Heart of Winter.

Maximum stars: 81 (8 maps + bonus)

Note
In the following tables you will see a column titled "Life/Atk scale". These are modifiers to the monsters set by the level. That means if a monster/boss have basic 30k life, and the level modifier of life is 2, that monster will have 60k life. If e.g. Life/Atk scale is 3/2 the monsters will have three times as much health and twice the attack power.

Enemies[]

Enemies from Grasslands can also appear. Common ones are Wolf, Wolfrider, Wild Boar, Orc Sentinel and Orc Vanguard.

Heart of Winter (boss)[]

This enemy's attack fires ice shards which can hit up to 3 units at a time. The attack will kill most units in one hit, but high-health heroes may take multiple hits. Fortunately this enemy is very slow.

Special Moves:

  • Ice Fission: The Heart of winter disappears and spawns 10 Winter Doppelgangers that spread around the map, drawing fire away from the main creature wave. Killing one of these Winter Doppelgangers gives you 11 goods and reduces the number of doppelgangers spawned by subsequent uses of Ice Fission. If all doppelgangers are killed, the next use of Ice Fission will reset to spawning 10 doppelgangers. Damage done to the doppelgangers is not applied to the main creature.
  • Winter Storm: The Heart of winter freezes your towers, which lowers the fire rate. You can still upgrade them, sell them, or move a rally point. While the Heart of winter is freezing your turrets, he will not move for about 5 seconds. Upgrading towers will remove the effects from Winter Storm.
  • Ice Shield: The Heart of Winter appears with a glowing pale blue aura surrounding him. This means that he is in Ice Shield mode, and will not receive any damage. After several hits, the shield will be removed and The Heart of Winter will begin to take damage as normal. If no damage is done for several seconds, the shield will regenerate.(a high damaging spell will instantly destroy this)
  • The Heart of Winter can freeze one tower at a time, preventing it from firing or activating abilities. The tower can not be upgraded or sold while frozen, and barracks will not be able to adjust the rally point. Repeatedly clicking on the tower will unfreeze it.
