Blitz Acres allows a player to measure his skills and tower performance against a continuous run of monsters. Each kill or magic skill used gives you blitz points that add up to your game score and later used to define your skills on the Leaderboard. You can play Blitz Acres once per day. It automatically resets on Server Time. Main figure here is Sir Lance Alotte.
It is also an important source of equipments and the main source of:
- Elemental Contract, needed to upgrade the Militia, Static and Hail magic skills and their talents on the Magic Ward.
- Soul Shards for Sir Lance Alotte, Robin Eagleye, Korina Chantress and Durin Atomika. See Rank for details.
There is an important typo on Wave 40. The Helm Shard Chest Lv.40 yields shards that appear to be pieces of the Level 40 Helm—the Demon Mask—as you would expect, but which the Armory actually combines into the Level 40 Amulet—the Shining Skull.
Mechanics[]
This is a very long, very hard challenge. You beat successive waves of enemies of increasing strength.
Every fifth level is a boss level. To challenge the bosses, your main hero must be of the same level as the wave (that is, you need a hero of level 10 before being able to challenge wave 10). The bosses of levels ending in "0" are the bosses from the World zones (Wolfbane, The Heart of Winter, Destruction Captain, etc). Each boss is represented in the picture above. Rewards are received for beating each boss level. A list of the bosses with their rewards, and a list of the enemies on each wave, is displayed further down on this page.
The game allows a chance to rest after every boss wave. If you use it, your tower configuration is wiped and when you continue you have to build them again (but you will start with all goods from previous battles).
If you have beaten bosses previously you will given the option to start the Blitz over from the start or continue battle. If you start, you will need to start battling on Wave 1, and you cannot skip any wave for today. If you continue battle you have no choice but to go to the first level after the last boss beat, i.e. you cannot skip just a few levels. The game treats each battle as actually happening off screen.
If you opt to continue battle, your hero will advance to the first boss monster, and a timer starts, five minutes for the first, then an additional five tacked on at each level. For example, if you have beaten four bosses, the wait to actually play out the days battle will be 5+10+15+20+25=75 minutes. From Tier 6 onwards, this is set to 30 minutes each. So when you unlock the full Blitz Acres, this will take 345 minutes of cooldown before being ready to start the daily battle. In addition, you must return after each boss monster is beaten and click continue battle again for the next timer to start, so you can lose additional time.
On the positive side, you do get the reward for each beaten boss monster, some of which are pretty valuable. The reward goes straight to your inventory, but you can see what each reward was won by passing your mouse over each of the boss monsters dead bodies.
Each player receives one free challenge per day. Those interested can pay 50 diamonds per extra challenge.
If you use Sweep option, you will take 5 hours 45 minutes, so you need to defeat waves manually.
